A Review of the Plug-In Profit Site

The Plug-in Profit site is how I got started online just over four years ago. At that time I was brand an internet marketing novice and didn't really have a clue what I was doing. I was what you would call a "newbie", just looking for a way to start an online business without the slightest idea of how easy or how difficult it would be. Four years on, I am a bit older and a bit wiser and I have become one of the lucky few, earning enough online to leave my job and start working full time from home.

So the questions that this article will be addressing are "is the Plug-In Profit Site right for you" and "what are the pros and cons of this opportunity". While this was a great opportunity for me to begin with I realize that everyone is different and what worked for me won't necessarily work for everyone.

So that you can get a better understanding of this opportunity I will start with a brief description of what it is and then go on to explain what the positives and negatives are.

In summary the Plug-In Profit Site is a home business website created by Stone Evans, promoting six different home business programs. At the time of writing these are SFI, Empowerism, Traffic Swarm, Success University, Maximum Paid Surveys and Host4Profit. The site is free as long as you host on Host4Profit and you can choose whether to join all six programs or just a subset of them. Some of the programs are free and others charge a fee. When you sign up for a Plug-In Profit site you receive a website ready to take orders, a 400 day autoresponder sequence to follow up to your visitors, plus access to a support helpdesk, an online forum and step by step training.

Advantages

- Recurring Income - all the opportunities promoted on the Plug-In Profit Site pay recurring income which means that every time you make a sale you can receive commissions each and every month. An example of this is Host4Profit hosting, which pays $10 commission per month for every customer you sign up, for as long as that customer remains with Host4Profit.

- Website up and Running within 24hrs - as long as you submit all your information correctly you will receive your website within 24hrs or less. Usually when you build a website there is a long period of research and it takes a lot of time and effort or money to built the site. With the Plug-In Profit Site you don't have to wait - you can start marketing your website immediately

- Customizable Site - as long as you know some HTML or are able to use a free web page editor you can make changes to your website. This could include adding or removing programs, creating introductory text or photo or adding some new web pages. Alternatively there are affordable services available from various people to enhance your website e.g. by changing the color, adding new products or optimizing it for the search engines.

- Excellent Support Infrastructure - As well as a 30 day training guide which explains how to market your website there is also a great support forum and a dedicated helpdesk. Disadvantages

- Many of the programs within the Plug-In profit Site are MLMs (Multi Level Marketing Programs) which means that you will earn a proportion of the commissions for every person that signs up under you. I personally don't see this as a disadvantage but many people dislike MLMs so I have included this here.

- Not a get rich quick scheme. Unless you are an extablished marketer with a high traffic website or a list, you are unlikely to make money in the first few days or weeks. There is a learning curve and you will have to spend some time and effort promoting your website

- Some Technical Knowledge Required to Make Changes to website - although your website is fully customizable you do need to either learn a bit of HTML OR use a web page editor to make changes to your website. Alternatively there are reasonably priced services to do this, but if you are unwilling to do either of these it will be difficult to be successful with a cookie cutter site.

- It is not free - although the site will be built for you for free, the minimum running cost at this time is $15 a year plus $24.95 per month for hosting. If money is tight or you are struggling to get by then this is not for you.


These are the main advantages and disadvantages of the Plug-In Profit site. Hopefully this balanced review will help you to decide whether or not is it the right choice for you.. As with all home businesses you need to be motivated and persistent to be successful.
